Case Study: An Integrated Asset Investment Planning and Management Process at National Gas Transmission
To prepare for the UK’s RIIO-2 regulatory framework, National Gas Transmission (NGT) partnered with IFS Copperleaf to create an integrated, end-to-end Asset Investment Planning and Portfolio Management process. By aligning bottom-up asset risk models with top-down portfolio optimization, NGT improved regulatory defensibility, strengthened risk management, and is on track to achieve a 4% reduction in capital expenditure—saving approximately £11 million per year.
